I leave Tuesday Jan 14, 2014.  To Rome by plane, Napoli by train and Sorrento by the CircumVesuvian Railroad: http://www.eavcampania.it/web/content/la-tratta-sorrentina. I've been trying to get to Italy for 20 years.  I'll stick to the south since it's warmer there.  55F typical.

    SW: I used the sh__ out of that camera. I hope all the rain didn't harm it. I didn't drop it though even though I used the flimsy tripod a lot
    DM: Were you surprised like I was that it is really the the local metro train and not a dedicated tourist train?
